DJI introduced one of its “hot new products” - the Zenmuse H20N shooting system, which was a worthy update to the H20 series of hybrid cameras. Recently, the company began to launch solutions for commercial and operational tasks on the market, successfully mastering this segment. The Zenmuse H20N system consists of a camera unit and a high-tech stabilizer. It was specially designed for the DJI Matrice 300 RTK industrial drone.

The design of Zenmuse H20N is represented by the following chamber modules:

• Universal camera module. The manufacturer managed to connect and optimize the operation of 4 modules, opening up new opportunities for the user to solve a wide range of different tasks.
• Wide-angle camera. Equipped with a 2 MP sensor, which is adapted to work in low light conditions, which allows you to take detailed pictures even at night.
• Digital camera. It has a 4 megapixel sensor and is adapted for shooting in low light conditions. Optical zoom is 20x, and digital zoom is 128x, allowing you to get as close as possible.
• Thermal imager module. The latest dual camera with a thermal imaging sensor has a resolution of 640*512. At the same time, the user has access to 2x optical and 8x digital zoom.
• Laser rangefinder. The range is up to 1200 meters. Intelligent information processing algorithms have greatly increased accuracy, eliminating any serious errors.

Thermal imager with two thermal sensors

DJI has implemented two thermal imaging sensors with a resolution of 640*512 each in the Zenmuse H20N. One has 2x and the other 8x optical zoom. This allows you to explore the desired objects from a distance and saves the pilot’s time. It also has a positive effect on autonomy, expanding its performance.

The thermal imager module has the following capabilities:

• Adjust color palettes for more accurate data acquisition, depending on your current goals.
• Visualization in a specific temperature range.
• Monitoring the temperature of an object with notifications about its increase or decrease.
• Selecting a temperature range with the ability to set boundaries.
• Support for the R-JPEG format with temperature information displayed on images.

Powerful optical and digital zoom

The Zenmuse H20N features support for hybrid optical zoom, which works great when paired with Starlight technology. This means that even in the absence of lighting, you can take detailed pictures using the zoom. The user can get the desired image in high resolution close-up.

Laser rangefinder with high accuracy

A separate laser rangefinder module operates effectively at distances from 3 to 1200 meters. At the same time, it very accurately determines the distance to the target. The error is less than +-1 meter. It also works effectively in conjunction with Starlight technology, which allows it to function properly even at night.
