Fujifilm Digital camera X-H2S Body Black

The FUJIFILM X-H2S is a multimedia mirrorless camera that combines powerful photo and video capabilities with the newly developed X-Trans multilayer sensor, advanced autofocus and subject detection, and impressive 6.2K video recording. Leading the X System, this camera combines the intuitiveness, design and image quality for which FUJIFILM is renowned, with a fresh approach to video and continuous shooting applications.

BSI X-Trans 5 matrix

The X-H2S is the first X-series camera with a multi-layer sensor. The X-H2S features a 26.1MP APS-C format BSI X-Trans 5 image sensor, which increases reading speed and improves low-light performance compared to previous generations. First, it uses a unique color filter matrix, which by its very nature minimizes moire and promotes a more natural color rendering; second, the BSI design helps reduce noise and improve tonality and clarity; and, finally, the "layered" design significantly reduces the effect of "rolling shutter" and other motion distortions, which is suitable for high-speed video and photo shooting.

X-Processor 5

Along with the new matrix, there is also a new image processing processor – X-Processor 5, which uses 64-bit processing to achieve 3 times higher speed in both video and photos compared to the X-T4. As for video, it lets you record up to 6.2K at high bitrates such as ProRes 422 HQ, or at high speeds such as 240fps Full HD recording.
When it comes to photography, fast signal processing means faster bursts for moving subjects. When working with an electronic shutter, it is possible to shoot at a speed of UP to 40 frames per second, with a buffer of 140 compressed frames. With a mechanical shutter, it is possible to shoot up to 15 frames per second and up to 1000 Raw files in a series. The power of the processor allows you to implement a complex autofocus system using artificial intelligence, achieve a 14-stop dynamic range and provides a wide sensitivity range from ISO 160-12800.

Recording 4K 120p and 6.2K 30p in

The X-H2S has a comprehensive recording system that puts this camera squarely in the 'hybrid' category and works equally well for video as it does video. Internal 10-bit 4:2:2 recording is possible in DCI/UHD 4K at up to 120p, Full HD at up to 240p, and 3:2 6.2K. Various codecs are also supported, including H.265 and three levels of ProRes: high-bitrate 422 HQ, standard 422 and the more compressed 422 LT. In addition, continuous recording of up to 90 minutes is possible at any frame rate and resolution.

Recording on external media

Using the full-size HDMI port, you can record raw video when connected to a compatible external recording device. Both PRORES RAW and Blackmagic RAW can be recorded, with F-Log or F-Log 2 profiles available, and either format supports resolutions up to 6.2K with 'open shutter'.

Improved autofocus and image stabilization

Updated autofocus works significantly faster and more intelligently. The hybrid focus system uses 425 phase detection points and is now sensitive down to -7 EV for really low-light performance. In addition, the applied adaptive artificial intelligence algorithm based on deep learning means that this focusing system is better suited for automatic detection and tracking of different types of objects. Compared to previous focusing systems, the X-H2S' face and eye detection capabilities have been improved for greater accuracy and accounting for unique features such as glasses, hairlines, masks, and more. Additionally, the range of object types recognized has been expanded and you can now choose to detect cars, planes, trains, motorcyclists, birds, horses, dogs, cats, etc.

Image stabilization

Built-in 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilization helps minimize camera shake by up to 7 stops. This system works in conjunction with most X-series lenses, including non-stabilized ones, and offers advantages when working with longer shutter speeds and when shooting in difficult lighting conditions. In addition, Digital Image Stabilization can also be used during video recording to further help stabilize footage, especially when shooting handheld.

Design

A large OLED electronic viewfinder with a resolution of 5760000 dots and 0.8x magnification provides a bright, clear and detailed image at eye level. The main 3.0-inch LCD display has a resolution of 1620000 dots and a touch interface for intuitive control. Plus, its variable-angle design means the screen can be tilted to the side, tilted up or down, and closed with the screen pressed against the guard. The 1.28-inch monochrome LCD screen on the top panel is a simple and convenient way to quickly view shooting settings. Dual memory card slots include one CFexpress Type B slot and one UHS-II SD slot for file storage flexibility. The CFexpress Type B slot should be prioritized for higher bitrate video recording and fast continuous shooting, while the SD slot is a convenient alternative for backup or less speed-critical shooting. The NP-W235's battery provides approximately 720 shots per charge when using the electronic viewfinder in economy mode, or approximately 580 shots in normal mode.

Film simulation modes

Film simulation modes allow you to reproduce the appearance of several types of FUJIFILM film, including Provia, Velvia, Astia, Classic Chrome, Classic Neg., Nostalgic Neg., Pro Neg. Hi, Pro Neg. Standard, Eterna, Eterna Bleach Bypass, Acros, Monochrome and Sepia. In addition, you can adjust the grain effect as well as the Color Chrome effect to fine-tune the appearance of images.
Built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity allows you to transfer images wirelessly to a mobile device or use the device to remotely control the camera.
