The EOS R7 is a camera with extensive connectivity options, able to work with a smartphone, tablet or computer via the Canon Camera Connect app. The camera supports connection to a smart device, so you can view, download and share photos and videos in full or reduced size using Wi-Fi.
EOS R innovations combined with APS-C design
The EOS R7 model is built on the basis of an APS-C size matrix, so its lenses provide 1.6 times the coverage area compared to equivalent focal lengths on full-frame cameras. You will feel as if you are close to the subject, and you will be able to fill your frames with expressive portraits of animals or dynamic events.

Canon EOS R7
EOS R technology combines with APS-C design for a small, fast and powerful hybrid mirrorless camera.
Where will you go next?
Continuing the tradition of our renowned EOS 7D cameras, the EOS R7 combines modern features and incredible speed in the next-generation EOS R series mirrorless body.
Starter offer with Canon EF-EOS R mount adapter
You can easily upgrade from your DSLR with our starter offer: Canon EF-EOS R mount adapter included. Use your existing EF and EF-S lenses from your DSLR while maintaining their quality, performance and functionality with the new model EOS R7. Subject to availability only at launch of the EOS R7 and EOS R10.
Autofocus of the new generation. Artificial intelligence based on deep learning and object recognition
We've introduced the AI-based deep learning technology and iTR autofocus used in our EOS R3, EOS R5 and EOS R6 cameras to the EOS R7. This means that this camera is able to recognize people, animals and vehicles and keep them in precise focus, wherever they move in the frame.
Autofocus that exceeds expectations
Wildlife photographers will love how this camera recognizes birds in flight, keeping them in focus as they move across the scene. Sports photographers will benefit from being able to track people when they're moving fast and unpredictably – even if they're wearing a helmet, looking the other way, or upside down.
The EOS R7's Dual Pixel CMOS AF II focusing system recognizes and tracks subjects across nearly 100 percent of the frame and delivers fast and accurate autofocus, even when light levels drop to -5EV or at a maximum aperture of f/22.

A new level of image stabilization. 7 levels of camera shake protection
Imagine being able to shoot long exposures handheld without a tripod, deliberately blurring moving objects. Or make a very smooth video just walking around with your camera. The Built-in Image Stabilizer (IBIS) in the EOS R7 opens up new possibilities for creativity and may make you rethink the way you use the camera.
Stability even in motion
The camera's IBIS system works in conjunction with the optical image stabilizer built into many of our RF lenses. Thanks to the lightning-fast data exchange speed and the large physical width of the RF mount, the 5-axis stabilization has up to 7 stops with the RF-S 18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM lens and up to 8 stops with other RF lenses, allowing for confident take long exposures without shaking.
Even when working with lenses that do not have their own stabilizer (for example, with fast models), the wide mount of the EOS R system allows the IBIS module of the EOS R7 camera to still provide highly effective stabilization against shake. The system also helps to align the horizon and preserve the sharpness of objects when panning.
Video without a hint of shaking
When shooting video, a third technology is added to the IBIS and optical image stabilizer systems: digital video stabilizer. Together, these solutions smooth camera movement to such an extent that you might think the shots were shot using a gimbal.
Speed and characteristics that will not leave you indifferent
The perfect moment to take a picture can last only a fraction of a second, so we designed the EOS R7 to be an exceptionally fast camera. Shoot RAW, JPEG and HEIF files at 15 frames per second – or up to 30 frames per second when using the silent electronic shutter – with continuous AF and AE that constantly reacts to what's happening as you shoot. The maximum electronic shutter speed of 1/16,000 s allows you to see details that are often not visible to the naked eye.

Built for quick response
The DIGIC X processor ensures the speed and sensitivity of the camera and virtually eliminates viewfinder lag, providing an exceptional shooting experience. Up to 42 RAW files and 126 JPEG files can be created in one burst at 30 frames per second
Smooth movement, which is perfectly reflected in the video
Frame rates up to 60p are available when shooting 4K video, and up to 120p in Full HD. This camera captures moving subjects with incredible precision and creates super-smooth slow-motion effects in post-production.
New image quality standards. Photos and videos that defy expectations
Whether you're shooting stills or video, the EOS R7's 32.5-megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC X image processing processor ensure excellent results. The technical advantages of the EOS R system, combined with our expertise in optics and matrix design, guarantee high image quality that surpasses anything you've experienced before.
Image quality exceeds expectations
Photos are rich in detail and color and have a wide dynamic range even in low light thanks to a maximum sensitivity of ISO 32,000. Very high-quality 4K videos can be obtained by oversampling the output signal from the 7K matrix, and Canon Log 3 provides wide dynamic range and post-editing capabilities filming
A new key advantage of the EOS design. New possibilities, familiar sensations
Take your next creative steps with a camera that puts new technology at your disposal, yet feels just as familiar and intuitive as your previous DSLR. New design features such as the combined AF point selector and rear command wheel are complemented by classic EOS controls and instantly recognizable menu pages, so you'll feel like a fish in water right from the start.
Electronic viewfinder
Even the stunning 120fps 2.36MP electronic viewfinder has an OVF Assist mode to help those upgrading from DSLRs.
LCD screen with variable tilt angle
The tiltable LCD screen makes it easy to take photos from unusual angles. A vertical format is also supported, which simplifies the shooting of stories for social networks.
Combined AF point selector
New design features include a combined AF point selector and rear control wheel.

Advantage of APS-C technology
The EOS R7 model is built around an APS-C size matrix, so its lenses provide a larger area of coverage compared to equivalent focal lengths on full-frame cameras. The smaller sensor format also makes the EOS R7 more portable, which is great for outdoor trips, shooting air shows or auto track events.
Integration and expansion
When it comes to lenses, you can mount all your existing EF and EF-S models on the EOS R7 thanks to Canon mount adapters, and they'll work just as well as before – if not better, thanks to the EOS R system's extensive functionality. You can configure the EOS R7 to work exactly the way you need it. Customizable dials and buttons complement flexible shooting modes and a programmable My Menu screen
Ability to start installation immediately
Built-in Wi-Fi makes it easy to connect to our image.canon online gateway for seamless direct transfer of photos and videos to cloud storage for later viewing. You can upload all your images and they will be ready and waiting for further processing, or view, select and upload only the shots you like best
