More sharpness
The EOS R10 features our renowned Dual Pixel CMOS AF II focusing system, programmed using AI-based deep learning technology for improved subject recognition. It's fast, accurate and incredibly sensitive in low light – even in situations where only the moon is shining.
Testing a new kind of autofocus
The EOS R10 can recognize people, vehicles and animals – cats, dogs and birds – by tracking their movement anywhere in the frame. Even fast-moving objects come out very sharp. When shooting people, the EOS R10 first of all pays attention to the subject's eyes - a "window to the soul". If they are not visible, then the face is tracked instead. And if the object turns away for a moment, the head is next in line, and then the body.
More speed
React instinctively to capture changing moments with high-speed continuous shooting, ideal for wildlife and sports shooting. The EOS R10 can shoot continuous bursts of images in RAW, JPEG or HEIF formats at up to 15 frames per second (or 23 frames per second using the camera's electronic shutter). At the same time, the camera tracks the subject throughout the frame, constantly adjusting focus and exposure depending on changes in the scene.
Capture moments that last a fraction of a second
In RAW burst mode, photos can be taken at up to 30 frames per second with 75 percent cropping, while images are saved in a single video file for neat and convenient organization. Individual images can then be downloaded, processed and edited using the free Digital Photo Professional (DPP) software. When pre-shooting is enabled in the camera menu, the EOS R10 starts shooting 0.5 seconds before you press the button, so you'll always be able to capture that magical perfect moment.
Speed and sensitivity
The camera is also quick to respond to your commands, giving you a huge advantage when you need to capture a crucial moment. The DIGIC X processor ensures fast response times and minimal lag or viewfinder blackout, so you'll always feel connected to your subject.
More versatility
Whether you're shooting stills, video, or both, the EOS R10 always delivers excellent image quality. It is also portable, as it weighs only 429 g, so you can always take it with you.
Full control
Photographers can choose between JPEG or HEIF file formats, as well as create RAW files for maximum flexibility in the post-production process. Our Dual Pixel RAW technology even allows you to enhance images by micro-correcting sharpness and bokeh, as well as reducing glare.
Perfect balance
The 24.2-megapixel matrix provides the perfect balance between detail, speed and low-light performance. A maximum sensitivity of ISO 32000 (expandable to ISO 51,200) allows you to get more detail and reduce noise when shooting in the dark. There's also a built-in flash to provide extra light when needed.
The EOS R10 includes scene modes for panoramic shooting, which improves results when working with the appropriate techniques.
4K that exceeds expectations
The EOS R10 produces incredible 4K footage that looks great on UHD displays and lets you crop without losing quality when editing in Full HD. The operator can choose 4K/60p mode for smooth rendering of moving objects and slow-motion effects, or stunning 4K/30p oversampling based on 6K output from the 24.2-megapixel sensor. The results are so incredible you won't believe it until you see it for yourself.
Incredibly smooth movement
When shooting in Full HD mode, the frame rate can be up to 120 per second, which allows you to capture the movement of objects with even greater detail. And when shooting slow-motion scenes, the ability to create stunning frame-by-frame videos in 4K and Full HD formats further expands your creative arsenal.
More simplicity and convenience
From the moment you pick up the EOS R10, you'll feel a connection to this camera, as if it's an extension of your creative self. Buttons and dials fall instinctively under your fingers, and the camera's electronic viewfinder provides a clear and precise view of the world.
Auxiliary optical viewfinder
There's even an optical viewfinder assist mode for those moving from cameras with optical viewfinders such as DSLRs.
Electronic viewfinder
The EOS R10's 2.36 million-dot electronic viewfinder shows exactly how the shot will look, from depth of field to white balance and photography style. It's convenient, easy to use and flexibly configurable, allowing you to see only the information you need.
Touch screen with variable viewing angle
The electronic viewfinder is complemented by a large touch screen with a variable viewing angle with a diagonal of 7.5 cm and a resolution of 1.04 million dots, which allows you to choose the perfect composition and shoot from above or below to look at the subject from a different angle.
Integration and expansion
However, thanks to a trio of lens mount adapters, you can also use your existing EF and EF-S lenses. They provide access to advanced features such as customizable controls and variable neutral light filters
Advantage of APS-C technology
Because the EOS R10 model is built around an APS-C size sensor, its lenses provide 1.6 times the coverage area compared to equivalent focal lengths on full-frame cameras. You'll be able to get up close to your subject to fill the entire frame when shooting wildlife or dynamic events.
Learn and grow as you shoot
For those just starting out with the EOS system or even just taking pictures, the guided user interface will help you develop your skills and teach you how your camera works. When you're ready to shoot on your own, the regular camera interface will be so intuitive and convenient that you'll forget it even exists.
More opportunities to connect
The EOS R10 connects to your smartphone wirelessly, so you can share the results of your creations with friends and followers. Share pictures on social media, send videos to friends, and upload photos to the cloud so they're ready when you get home.
Always be in touch
The built-in Bluetooth low-energy module ensures a constant connection, allowing you to activate the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channel seamlessly when you need to transfer images. In addition, the camera can be controlled remotely from a smart device with the Canon Camera Connect app installed: use the screen as a viewfinder, change settings, and take photos and videos. For more convenient remote control, a wireless Bluetooth controller BR-E1 is also available.
The EOS R10 model is also equipped with a USB-C interface for in-camera charging and shooting with connection to Windows and Mac computers.
Be an authority for your followers
Video bloggers and content creators can use the EOS R10 to live stream great quality videos directly to their YouTube followers. Simply connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network – no computer required. The vari-angle LCD screen can be rotated to provide a precise view if you're giving a presentation. The EOS R10 also supports vertical format, perfect for shooting social media content.
Your creativity is in the cloud
Our image.canon gateway lets you put content where you need it. Images and videos are uploaded without any problems – just from the camera to the image.canon cloud via Wi-Fi. From here, they can be transferred to long-term storage on other cloud platforms or uploaded to a Windows or Mac computer for editing.
To get the maximum image quality from the EOS R10, try the RAW processing functions in the canon.image cloud. A processing mechanism based on a neural network is used to bring image quality to new heights
